Opportunity to explore the meaning of life

Heaton Baptist Church will be running an Alpha course this autumn. Alpha is designed to introduce the core beliefs of Christianity in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that gives plenty of time for discussion and questioning. Each evening starts at 7.30pm with a meal, which is followed by a talk on that night’s topic, which is in turn followed by discussion and question time in small groups. The evening finishes at 9.30 pm. There is NO CHARGE for the course.

This autumn’s course starts on Monday, September 26th. This first evening takes the form of a buffet supper and introduction to the course, explaining all aspects of the course and answering any initial questions. Coming to the supper allows guests to meet other guests and the course team in a very informal setting -- for those who are not sure if Alpha is for them, it’s a great opportunity to hear about it without any commitment to the course proper which starts on Monday, October 3rd, and continues each Monday evening until December 12th.
