A to B: Ali to Bernin
I'm returning to Africa tomorrow to serve with the Mercy Ship - and this time I'll be in in Benin...
The ship usually stays in one place from January to November each year. In December it goes to the Canary Islands to provide R&R for the long term crew and allow any maintenance.
Benin, formally French West Africa, has strong links with France so is French speaking and my flights go through Paris. Volunteers fly out to the nearest airport, get picked up by a nice man in a big white jeep and then live on board, whilst the ship stays moored to the quayside.
If you are interested, would like to check up on, or pray for my flights, you'll find more details here. Of course while I'm away Teresa & the girls are left without a husband or father. Blessed relief from the pomposity they might say, but if, by some small chance they do miss me you can cheer them up by emailing them here.
