We thank God that He has placed us together in a body. We praise Him for the unique gifts and personality He has given each one of us, and pray that all these would be used for His glory in HBC. We pray that God would help each one of us to become all that He created us to be. As He works in us, we pray that He would also work through us as we edify and encourage one another. We pray that God will bless, strengthen and protect relationships within our church, and ask Him that the period when we are out of our usual building would be one of spiritual and relational growth for us all.We lift in prayer those within our church fellowship who have recently been bereaved. We ask God to be close to them in their sorrow and to comfort them in their grief.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)
We pray too for people we know who are suffering any other kind of sadness or discouragement. May God be the lifter of their heads.
We thank God for His great love for us, dependent not upon what we do, or on anyone else’s opinion. We praise Him that He loves us simply because we are His creation.
Let’s pray for one another that God would give us a deeper revelation of His love. We pray, as Paul did, that we, "being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that [we] may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." (Ephesians 3:17b-19)
