Prayer letter
This week we pray for Alice Hewitt, Hazel Hodgson, Linda Hogarth, Arthur Holmes, John Howarth, and Kate Howorth. May God richly bless them in every part of their lives.We thank God for bringing us our new Youth Director and pray that Aileen and fiancé, Gordon will find a real welcome at HBC. We pray for all the arrangements for their wedding and also for their house move – and ask God to show His favour to them as they settle into their new life in Heaton.
We pray for the musical production "Cargo" which is to be performed on Friday night. We pray for all those involved in singing, dancing, organizing and serving in many ways behind the scenes that they will find it very rewarding – and that there will be a good audience, who will be touched by the message of how in 2007 young people, women and children are still being trafficked.
We pray for Daniel Wallhead who has been in hospital again with an infection. We pray for a swift recovery and that he will soon be well enough to go back to school.
From Hope08: Friends bring so much into our lives. Over 70% of people who have come to faith have been helped by friendship with a Christian.
Give thanks: for every friend you’ve known, and that Jesus counts us as His friends.
Pray: a blessing for a friend to come to know Jesus Christ as Lord; for those you know who are without friends; for those who have no opportunity to build friendships, asking God to put Christians on their path to encourage them.
Consider: befriending someone who is lonely or from another country.
