Lifegroup psalms
Here's a series of psalms we wrote in Lifegroup, each person contributing one line. It was really encouraging.1
El Shadai – God most High – We worship you
Your unceasing forgiveness is amazing
And you make wars cease to the ends of the earth
The work of your hands catches my breath every day
Grace and power flows from your hand
You Jesus are amazing because you have given us the opportunity for a relationship with God
I will praise you for ever and ever

Lord you bring freedom to those in chains
I love your ways – your compassion – your tenderness towards those you love.
And the variety you’ve made is incredible.
The ants and moths and butterflies praise him
You comfort me and you’re there for me without fail every day.
Out trust is in you because you were raised.
Therefore I will serve and praise you on my good and my bad days
When I’m happy, when I’m sad
When I want to and when I don’t.

Father God, Awesome and Holy God,
You are gracious in everything you do
And wait for me patiently.
Every petal of every flower is beautifully and intricately designed by you.
You watch over me wherever I am – you see every step I take and
You never fail to lead and direct me.
I want my focus to be always on you Jesus because without you the boat I sail in has no captain and no steering;
Therefore I will worship and follow you for all of my days.

O Lord, no-one can compare with You
Lord I am amazed by your never ending grace to me
And your constant faithfulness
The seas are wild and calm, reaching for days holding those creatures you created
You have given me all that I need
I long to know you better because you have all the answers
Therefore I will stand in awe before you

Father God I praise you, Your greatness is more than I could know
You sit enthroned in power over all
And you have given us your Son
All his creation displays His splendour
You reassure and settle me
I love you because you are my all…my everything
So forever and ever I will praise You. I will love You with all that I am and I will lay my life before You my God and King. AMEN.

Lord, you made my world
He lifts up the poor and humble, and casts down the wealthy and proud
And you know every single person inside out, and love them so perfectly
All creation resonates with his glory
You are an ever present friend and mentor
I love you because you know all about me and still love me
Your faithfulness endures forever.

You waited patiently for me
I love you because you constantly forgive me
And all of Your creation amazes me day after day and night after night
Thank you God for creating the birds, and all the tiny garden creatures that give us so much pleasure and that we so often take for granted
You watch over me and never let me fall
I put my faith in you because you have paid the ultimate price in dying for my sins
Therefore I will submit all my longings and plans to you – for you have shown such love and forgiveness to me.

Lord God, I love your name and seek your face
I am amazed by your graciousness
And your word brings comfort to the fearful
Nothing exists that has not been created by you – the greater knowledge about the universe that science discovers reveals that you are even greater than we just thought
You keep smoothing the way for me, whether I ask or not
We tremble before you because you are returning to judge the world in righteousness
Thank you for loving me even though I don’t deserve it

How wonderful to think on your Glory
I love the way you make me feel surrounded in love
And you are faithful and gracious to all who call on you
You’ve built such beautiful world for us
He makes me triumph over my enemies, and confounds my foes
I worship you because your grace has allowed me to come into your presence
Let all the earth proclaim your glory

God is fantastic and awesome
You are faithful and just
And you bless me over and over again in so many ways
You have made me so intricate and wonderful. My body is like a magnificent machine made by a wonderful engineer
You have given me such amazing promises and provided me with all I need
I love you because you loved me enough to die for me and save me
And I want to praise your name forever until I meet with you in the heavens

Father God tonight I want to praise you
In all of heaven and earth there is no-one with such power and might and awesome majesty
And your promise to be with me always even unto the end of time
Everywhere I look I can see the work of your hand
He send his angels to protect me in all situations
I love you because you first loved me and you have taught me how high and wide and deep is the love of God
I will follow you wherever you lead

The Lord looks down from heaven on his children
Lord God you are perfect
And you love every single person you have created
Your creation is fresh each morning
You make me feel so special and give me gifts I never knew about before you loved me
I want to live every day of this life on earth for You because you have given me life and have sustained me through all my days
I promise to love you and follow you forever Jesus and it is my hearts desire to always follow you
