Re:sourcing our school kids

Posted by Sean Harris on 30 Apr 2007

One of the youth/schools work links that I'll hopefully take into teaching with me is Re:source. Scripture Union are the pioneers behind this excellent 'resource' aimed at Christian groups that meet in secondary schools.
I have the great pleasure of being able to write for Re:source. We have an excellent website where visitors can download a whole host of sessions on themes such as Easter, Christmas, Doubt, Truth, Respect and a heap of other important issues. I love to witness young people running Christian groups in their own schools and I have given away many copies of re:source and signposted many young people to the website.
Perhaps you're secondary-school age and would like to start up a Christian group in your school? Re:source is for you! On visiting the website you will also discover that the Re:source team are committed to helping young people run, sustain and develop groups within their school. There are opportunities for prayer support and a question and answer email service where you can give the team any questions you have relating to your group.
It might also be that you know of young people who would like to set-up a Christian group but don't really know where to start or what resources to use in their meetings or sessions. I would really encourage you to signpost them to the Re:source website. To download my latest session on the theme of 'Doubt' and to check out how Re:source could resource you visit this website.
