Words of praise

Posted by Mike Davies on December 19. Archived.

On Sunday morning we were treated to worship and praise from the Junior Church. What a wonderful service! It struck me how blessed we are with our Junior Church leaders and helpers - how dedicated and inventive they are and how grateful the fellowship should be for their service. Pray that they have a relaxed, joyous and blessed Christmas.

On Saturday evening (December 17th) HBC will be hosting an Avalanche event for anyone aged 11-18 years -- a huge end of year celebration, looking back on some of the hot potatoes from the world of the HBC Youth over the last twelve months. Avalanche will also contain a deadly cocktail of crazy games, alternative humour, team challenges... and perhaps some special awards. With a special guest appearence, a Flop Idol competition and tables of festive nibbles, why not consider joining us for this exciting event? The event is open to anyone who is a member of one of our groups or youth programmes, both in school or out. Contact Sean Harris for more info or text Avalanche? to 07725745969 along with your name and a contact number or email address.

I have been told that at a conservative estimate tens of millions of sacrifices must have been made. Before a Holy God we need to bow down and worship, and recognise our place. Nowadays it can be easy to stress grace and forgiveness, forgetting our sin and need of forgiveness and cleansing and repentance. Since the death and resurrection of Jesus it is wonderful to remember that there is no need for further sacrifice. » more
