Biblefresh

Biblefresh is a movement of churches, agencies, organisations, colleges and festivals which has a vision to re-ignite and re-enthuse the church in its passion for the Bible. The aim of the Biblefresh initiative is to encourage a greater confidence and passion for scripture across the UK church (http://www.biblefresh.com).

During 2011, we want to encourage everyone of all ages at HBC to read the Bible more and to read it together. To that end one of the plans we have is to read the E100 readings together which will be posted on the bulletin and on the website so that we can read or listen or both! These readings are 100 selected “essential” passages from both the Old & New Testaments which together give an overview of the whole story of the Bible (www.e100challenge.org.uk).

We believe that the Bible is a living book inspired by the living God who wants to speak to us in all the diversity of life. We also believe that God calls us to be in community and therefore we want to share with each other what we hear God say and help each other where we are questioning. We ALL have something to share, no matter what our ages, so let’s aim to read more of the Bible in order to know our God more and be inspired to live for Him.

Join and start discussions on these E100 readings at our Biblefresh blog.
